As far as Christopher Nolan is concerned, Batman is over after the Dark Knight Rises. The third will be the final instalment, he has said. He is very happy though, apparently, with the script and the ending to the trilogy. I have a lot of faith in Nolan too that this will be awesome because he has spoken about how he knows that often trilogies don't have a great three-movie series, the third is often a disappointment which could bring the rest down with it and so you just know this guy will ensure it works.
But yes, it will be the last of the Christopher Nolan Batman movies.

This is the conclusion to Christopher Nolan's batman series. If there will be a new batman movie anytime soon (after TDKR of course), it will most likely be an entirely new series, probably with new actors and all.
