Will there be a new batman movie in the future?

the dark knight ended on a bit of a sour note . with batman admiting falsly to the murders commited by dent.

also could charracters fromn the comics i.e the riddler and the penguin. be portrayed as seriously as say the joker and harvey two face?

Yes there will definitely be more new batman movies, why would the industry cop out on a movie that made almost as much as titanic domestically?



From what I hear the penguin will not come into play, but the riddler probably will. It isn't going to be a Jim Carrey riddler so it will probably be pretty cool.

there is no official sequel yet but given the box office it isnt hard to imagine another film being made to complete the trilogy. no more after that tho. i reckon the riddler could be done properly, same with catwoman, as a terrorist and prostitute/vigilante respectively, but definitely not the penguin. i think those two villains would be ideal for the final film. after the epic TDK they should make it more personal, maybe have batman fall in love with another vigilante like catwoman, and make it a dark and twisted romance
Chris Nolan did an amazing job with the Batman series but is he really a sequel kind of guy? Maybe hell leave the franchise as he doesnt want to ruin what he has created. On the other hand will Hollywood bribe him into another one? I think he will move on to another project as Nolan is a "one at a time" Director. He might return to where he left off in a couple of years but at the moment there is nothing planned.

There is no doubt in my mind that they will make another batman movie. He is too big of a money making icon not to make another. Nolan has a contract for 3 movies. Same with Bale. If they don't make another one in this series they will start over again in like 10 years. I don't think the penguin could but the riddler could be. He doesn't have any qualities that are really unrealistic. Penguin could be if they were to get the right actor.
A lot of the cast are contracted to do three movies,however,Nolan may not direct,but judgeing by the success of the other two I believe he will.

If anyone can give The Riddler a serious edge it's Johnny Depp.

it seems like every since that movie came out something bad always happed to one of the actors.
im not that sure....if they are its probably going to be with the riddler. Its not going to have the joker since heath ledger died and nobody can play that part like he did


Maybe another film but no Joker. Heath Ledger will be too hard to replicate. Next villain could well be Riddler though (or more Two-face).
Of course, the last batman made so much money. There is no way hollywood ever turns its back on a cash cow.
