The only things that have been confirmed are that it will not be shot in 3-D, and as much as possible will be shot in IMAX format. umm they never said any of the females roles will be a villain so the person above me is just talking out of his a**. There was a rumor earlier this morning from a very reliable source (it was the same person who predicted that there would be no riddler and they also said that Rachel Weisz and Anne Hathaway will be considered for a role and they even predicted the name of the movie for christ sakes) anyways, the rumor was that Dr. Hugo Strange is strongly believed to be the villain in this movie and it will be Tom Hardy playing this role.. which actually makes a whole lot of sense to me. I was actually hoping for Black Mask but Dr. Hugo Strange would make for an exellent story.. In the comic he was introduced as a psychologist who was hired to bring in the Batman, he eventually figures out batman's secret identity and keeps it a secret and goes on to auction off Batman's secret identity to other villains who are definitely not gonna be in this movie (joke, two-face, penguin) but I'm sure they'll introduce Dr. Strange differently in this movie but this was just to give you an idea what to kind of expect. I don't know if your aware of Tom Hardy's word but he is actually a brilliant actor, I'll even go as far to say that he's a better actor than Heath Ledger was in my opinion. If you wanna see just a glimpse of what to expect of Tom Hardy in this movie, you should watch a movie trailer for "Bronson".. sorry i know i'm going on but i'm really excited for this movie lol
The Riddler is NOT the villain, been confirmed. There are talking to a few actresses right now...one will be a love interest, the other a villain.



Out of who they are in discussions with my hopes are for Naomi Watts as Vicki Vale and Rachel Weisz as Catwoman.What are the details on the new batman movie "Dark Knight Rises"?

The villian is gonna be Santa Claus.

The plot: Batman ends up chasing Santa back to Hell in his new Bat-El Camido. Santa grabs Satan's pitchfork and has a swordfight to the death. In the end Batman kills Santa Claus and reigns over Hell. He enslaves the elves and abuses the reindeer forever and ever.
