When will the new batman movie come out?

if so what villans are in it and what will it be called?When will the new batman movie come out?
Anything you've heard about potential villans and titles is rumour based on fan speculation. The Riddler, Catwoman and Penguin rumours started to appear even before The Dark Knight came out.



Chris Nolan is working on a film called Inception. Right after The Dark Knight came out he said that Warner Bros. approached him about a third movie but he told them he wouldn't even think about it till he finished the projects he already had lined up. Nolan is heavily involved in all stages of the film, including co-writing the scripts. Nolan has stated that if he can find the right story to tell he will be involved.



Warner Bros (WB) knows that the success of the franchise relaunch is due to Nolan and they don't want to mess with a winning formula. So they've told Nolan they'll give him some time to finish his projects and then decide if they want to work together on a third film together. If Nolan decides not to do a third Batman film, WB has already started to look at possible replacement directors. However, this also means they need to find writers.



WB has stated that they're target release date is the Summer of 2011.



Also, just an FYI - DC comics has NOTHING to do with the movie. WB owns the film rights. WB also owns DC comics. The whole Death of baman/Bruce Wayne story arc that is currently going on in the DC titles was originally suppose to happen last spring/summer but WB told DC to push it back as they didn't want any new fans to be confused by Bruce Wayne being "dead" in the comics. If Nolan decides not to come back, then the decision of hiring a director is at the sole discretion of WB.

It doesn't sound like Christopher Nolan wants to make it. For two reasons, his star villian Heath Ledger passed away and he has a belief that it isn't possible to make a "successful" trilogy, he said he thinks that their is always one that stinks... he said look at Lord Of The Rings Part One, look at Spider-Man 3, look at Terminator 3, he mentioned all of these films...





The studio however, wants it and if they have to make it without Nolan and Bale, they will. The film made 1 Billion Dollar Worldwide, so it is a definite for Part 3. But Nolan and Bale may not return, (if that is the case, i won't see it..)



The villian will most likely be The Riddler, and they hinted at Catwomen (it should do fine against cats..) but again Nolan may not be back...







The film should be out by 2012 or 2013, no earlier than that.When will the new batman movie come out?

If Nolan does make a movie, it would be 2011 or 2012. If he doesn't, expect a 5-10 year wait for a new director. Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of director's who would jump at the chance, but DC Comics has the final say.
